Stephen Jones replies via e-mail: 'Yes, we went back to the original magazine/anthology versions for all the stories published in the book. I did the same for the other "Fantasy Masterworks" I've edited for Howard, Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith and Rudyard Kipling.'
