Photos of the Bridge Motel Farewell

Due probably to the media coverage (which was perhaps the result of a PR campaign?), the Bridge Motel Event last night drew a large crowd, at least judging by the number of cars that poured into the neighborhood and snatched parking out from under the nose of startled locals. I didn't make it to the show myself, but Denys and I drove by on the way to a birthday party. The old motel had never looked so cool. I've discovered a Flickr set by someone named Dave Matthews documenting the festivities. Looks like a good time was had by quite a few.

Update: Dan Savage Slogs about it. According to a commenter, Purple Mark stayed at the motel when he first got to Seattle.
