In old Oregon

Denys and I lost internet connectivity at home on Tuesday, and Comcast can't send anybody out until Friday afternoon. I'm in Oregon now, surprisingly enough. I didn't think I was going to make it to the airport yesterday, because of the icy roads, and then after my neighbor kindly got me there, I thought my flight was going to get canceled after it kept getting delayed. It was scheduled to leave at 6:15, and we finally got off the ground at 11:10. We had Santa on board with us, and I won a bottle of wine by guessing the combined age of the flight attendants. I was going to guess 47, but then decided to go with my own age, 48.

We're having a white Christmas. Best get back to it.

Merry Xmas! I've been wondering what you were up to, and figured you were in Oregon by now. Glad you made it safe and sound! And I hope your internet gets fixed soon, it would drive me buggy not to have internet. The woes!

Merry Xmas! Losing the internet is like losing a sense or something. It was hard to figure out how to solve some of the problems I was facing!

My first inclination is always to post about it. But then I go, oh no!

Yes, it was exactly like losing a sense. Very disorienting. Like holyoutlaw, I kept having the impulse to do something on the 'net, and then being brought up short by reality. I accumulated a list of comic-book-related questions that I couldn't answer because I couldn't access comics.org or even Google! Friday afternoon was a blessing.
