That's not even effective. Aspirating Ensure is just as potentially lethal as aspirating anything else. Plain saliva can be lethal. Evil dumbarses.

Another detail the article talks about is that they started waterboarding with saline solution because they "forced such massive quantities of water into the mouths and noses of detainees, prisoners inevitably swallowed huge amounts of liquid – enough to conceivably kill them from hyponatremia, a rare but deadly condition in which ingesting enormous quantities of water results in a dangerously low concentration of sodium in the blood."

I do wonder sometimes. I kind of doubt it. Or maybe their nightmares are of bogeymen flying into glass towers when they are in them.
