Divine also had a (secondary) male role in the 1988 Hairspray.

Besides playing Edna Turnblad (Tracy's mom), he played Arvin Hodgepile, the owner of the radio station that hosted the Corny Collins show.

Ah, thanks for that. The claim that this was his only male film role was made in the DVD extras, but I wondered if it was true. I'll correct my post.
