Headset for Skype

So I've just installed Skype. Can anybody recommend a headset?

How about a MacBook Pro! ;-)

A bit spendy perhaps, although they're lovely machines.

I don't remember what we've got -- I think for starters, any old cheap thing will do.

Yeah, that's what I figure too. Just thought I'd throw the question out there in case somebody had strong feelings about it.

I have a Logitech USB headset that has survived a remarkable amount of abuse at the bottom of my computer bag for several years now. I keep thinking I must have completely broken it, but the parts always snap and or twist right back into shape and the thing still works.

I haven't kept up with the field at all. I believe my headset was $35, which was the low price point that several models were offered at. It looks like there's a wider range of options and prices now. I wouldn't invest a lot unless and until experience proved that you were going to be using the thing far more than you're likely to.

Thanks, Geri. For some reason Logitech was the brand leaping out at me as I looked at all the options on the Skype page.
