Party reminder

Just a reminder that Denys and I are hosting a party this coming Saturday starting at 8pm. The original reason for the party was that British fans Christina Lake and Doug Bell will be in town and want to see people, but in the meantime no venue was found for Vanguard last weekend, so this will be doing double-duty as the Vanguard party this month. Please come, and please bring chocolate. Or fruit. Or Japanese taro eyeball candy. BYOB. Etc. We'll provide a kitchen that everybody can crowd into at once.

If you need the address, send me e-mail. My e-mail address is on my user's info page.

Soon as someone invents the teleport, I'll be there.

Hm, if I were more energetic, I'd look into setting up Ustream on my computer.

Flying to London on 5th or 6th, staying in Croydon for a few days, going to Belgium for a few days (timing of this is still up in the air), going to Nottingham from Brussels on the 12th, doing something after Novacon for a couple of days (maybe back to London) and then off to Toronto via Boston (and roadtrip with [livejournal.com profile] gerisullivan on the 17th.

Have a great time! Come this Thursday, I'm getting on an airplane, but it's to go to a party of another sort. The youngest Fitzgerald (my niece) is getting married in Marietta, GA, on Saturday. There's a bridal shower on Friday, the groom's parents kindly invited me to the rehearsal dinner Friday night even though I'm not in the ceremony, then there's the wedding and reception on Saturday. Big fun, and even bigger buckets of joy.

Here's to Christina and Doug, and to all the usual local suspects, too.

Wow, you certainly have been having good times lately! Have a great time in Georgia, and all the best to your niece.

Thanks. Yes, I'm in the middle of an utterly marvelous run on the good times front. The weekend after the wedding, Joe, Edie, and I are going to the Clearwater Music Festival where I'm looking forward to seeing Dan Bern for the first time in years and years. The weekend after that is Gavi's and my Great New York Adventure. After that, I'm home for the 4th and hope to get a good deal of housecleaning done as the week after that the Best Boss Ever and his wife will be here for good times at Brimfield. Right after that, it's birthday time followed by Susan and Gavi and more college tours.

Then it's August. Whew!

Whew, indeed. I believe that would actually qualify as Too Much Fun in my book, although it sounds like you've got the 4th to recuperate. I'm going to Crooked River for that.

I'll try and remember to think of you as I lounge about this Sunday afternoon. Actually given that today I indexed Chunga #7 it's not impossible that I'll still be indexing Chunga come Sunday. That would be appropriate.

I'm honored to be in your index!

By the time I'm finished I think everybody will be in my index. Actually I've just checked and your name comes up 29 times already. Which is not bad given I've not listed any of your contributions to Chunga (I figure I can find your writings there without indexing them).
