Video: Cartiledge at Vanguard

Some of y'all might enjoy the short (3:08) video that Graham Charnock (aka Cartiledge) has posted to YouTube and called "Vanguard Party in Seattle". See many of your favorite Seattle fans in their natural habitat! See [livejournal.com profile] kate_schaefer in a ditch! See Andy Hooper in a fez! Hear [livejournal.com profile] libertango's obituary!

Good family fun. This Cartiledge fellow has a future in video.

Ah, I see. So really I no longer have any need to travel to the far side of the world for semi-coherent parties. So long as somebody does a little filming and posts it a site like YouTube I can have just as much fun.

Plus that way you don't have to deal with the long stretches where nothing interesting happens and everybody just sits around staring at each other.

Since I'm hardly the best conversationalist when it comes to parties I doubt I could help you there. No, voyeurism is the way to go.

Cartiledge says: I personally was a bit disappointed in the way the video turned out. Too dark, too blurred, not enough randy, and I totally forgot to video Victor recounting at length details of his career as a private bailiff. No, Lars Von Trier has nothing to worry about.

Well, of the three comments I've seen on the video (I also posted the link to a Vanguard discussion list), one agreed with you that it was dark, and it's true that I couldn't actually see Andy's fez. But I was surprised at how many funny bits you were able to find, and in particular I thought the whole exchange with Victor was priceless, with the final line the perfect punchline. Anyway, I'm not sure that any video is randy enough.
