Still busy

daveon and assorted friends and colleagues of his, I still managed to get most of my To Do list crossed off today. While yesterday featured an epic journey through a snowstorm into darkest downtown, today featured an epic journey through steady rain to the farthest reaches of Northgate. Fortunately, it was less of a shopping hell than downtown was yesterday. Maybe everyone was at home trying to stay dry. I wended my way to Best Buy to return the two copies of the regular Across the Universe soundtrack that they mailed me instead of the deluxe version I had actually ordered. I had ordered via the internet so that I wouldn't have to go to their fucking store, but I was forced to go anyway by the fucking incompetence of their shipping department. In the end, I did come away with the coveted CD at last, with little noticeable damage to my sanity. Since I was up that way anyway, I also stopped at the mall to buy some sweaters and to look (unsuccessfully) for boots. I escaped just as lines were starting to build at Macy's, perhaps coinciding with the end of the Seahawks game.
For the past few hours, I've been working on a sooper sekrit mailing that some of y'all will be receiving in the near future. No, it's not a fanzine, although it's related to one. Beyond that I'll say no more.
I have no amusing anecdotes to share today, so in fact I've been wasting your time with this banal diary entry. Sorry! I'm just trying to look busy. Now I'm gonna goof off.
