Yeah, it is interesting stuff. Of course graduate school represents a whole different level of ambition. I work at the University of Washington, and I've come to see graduate school as a kind of elaborate hazing. If you can survive it, you are admitted to the secret society of masters. I've had at least one good friend go through a nervous breakdown as part of the process.
