Thanks for the bad monkey report. I've seen videos of monkeys stealing drinks at other resorts and admire the hair yanking in response to people trying to engage with them. Human bad monkeys often need to be reminded that wild animals are...wild. But the aggressive hissing when you're just going about your business? Yeah, that's a tad off-putting.
It's been a long, long time since I've seen live monkeys anywhere other than in a zoo. When I was a youngster, my maternal grandmother had a pet spider monkey I liked rather a lot.
