The committee is looking pretty

Yesterday we had the first meeting of the Corflu Zed committee. We got together at a restaurant, ate, gossiped, and talked about hotels and budgets and membership rates and mailing lists and program ideas. The full roster of the committee is Ulrika as hotel liaison, Denys as treasurer/registrar, Andy H. on programming, Suzle on hospitality, Luke on publications, Tracy B. as webmistress, Claire B. as UK agent, and Jerry K. as Eminence Grise (aka Chair Emeritus). A good and stalwart crew. Working with them on this reminds me that they all have years of experience putting on conventions, whereas I have none. Suddenly I have a whole new appreciation for what they've done!

Anyway, this is the core group, and we will be expanding to include more people in the process once we've gotten the hotel and dates settled. Real Soon Now! Keep watching the skies.

Hi, Mary Kay. This is a byproduct of my inexperience, I'm afraid. I thought that we'd have a big meeting initially, but I was persuaded that we should start small and then expand from there. My apologies for the confusion!

Not digital. I think I have some old photos, and I have a new scanner. However, the scanner is still in the box, so it's not much help at this point.
