Last night Still Scared of the Yellow Ball in the Sky finished second in the pub quiz. It was our first second-place finish, on top of three firsts, four thirds, and one fourth. It was enough to keep us in first in the overall league standings, and in fact we increased our lead by one point. We now have a commanding (ahem) two point lead over Shut Up in the Back, who finished third last night. One of the guys from Shut Up in the Back stopped by our table at the end and pondered the possibility that we will end up tied after next week's final match. We talked to the quizmaster about that possibility too, suggesting a cage match to break the tie. Pencil and paper at dawn!
