So long and thanks for all the quiche

Thanks to juliebata for bringing the quiches yesterday. It was a delicious dinner for the harried hosts, and a good party favor for the hungry hordes. It was all et up.

Vanguard has been going on for over 25 years, and last night's edition made me nostalgic. Remembering when we used to dance at Vanguards, remembering people before they got married, before they stopped drinking, remembering people who used to go to Vanguard but have moved away, drifted away, run away, or who stayed away this time because it was at my house. Yet there we were, still joking, still laughing, still driving each other crazy with our obsessions, still comforting each other for our losses, still yacking about the latest book we've read, movie we've seen, museum we've visited, weird thing that just happened. Hail, hail, the gang's all here. Still tons of fun after all these years.
