LJ Comment Stats Meme
Dec. 11th, 2008 04:14 pmI did this once before as a private post, but I'll make this one public just in case anyone is curious. A few unexpected results, probably proving once again that I'm Mr. Oblivious.
Over at
gerisullivan's joint, it has been pointed out that these stats probably ignore/can't see Friends-locked posts. I've never posted anything Friends-locked, so this should be the whole shebang. I note that
reverendjim could get to triple digits PDQ. On the other hand, I believe
numbat (one of the surprises) is no longer an active account, and besides the last I heard (via snailmail, natch) he didn't have a functioning computer. But if you added that number to the number of comments under his active account, he's over a hundred too.
Many thanks to everyone who comments here. You keep me nearly sane.

Date: 2008-12-12 10:29 pm (UTC)No, probably no angry LOCs. :) I'm still somewhat beside myself with shock, which is slowly evolving into something like glee. It took me three times to actually read the whole article: i kept getting to my name and slamming the thing shut out of embarrassment. One of these days perhaps i'll even be able to actually read the article as an article!
If i may comment on 1 thing. Andy did feel that the phrasing on the price of Cipher is a little odd. The costs are actually $1 in person, $2 by mail for NA shipping, and $3 by mail for RoW shipping -- whereas i believe it's worded in Chunga as if it's $1 *plus* $2/$3 for shipping. Unless we're reading that wrong? I left it at home, so i'm hoping i'm remembering that correctly. And no doubt the error is mine for quoting the price wrong myself somewher on the web! It took me awhile to decipher the USPS's current shipping rates. :p
Thanks so much for mentioning me and my little zine! I'll be curious to see if anyone seeks me out.

Date: 2008-12-16 11:56 pm (UTC)I debated asking you to clear the wording, but I wanted this to be a surprise.
And, oh my goodness, was it ever! I was really overwhelmed and delighted. Still haven't gotten back to re-read the piece because i keep blushing to see my name in lights, so to speak.
