As I've mentioned before, Bottleworks is a local beer store (they also carry fancy chocolate and a nice selection of cider) located in Wallingford. They have recently started a blog. For the most part they are using it to announce what's new at the shop, but I see they also have a story about Tex's recent birthday pubcrawl. "The sixth and final stop of the night was the Stumbling Monk, where the flattering picture seen here was taken. I'm not sure what Trevor was thinking at this moment. Maybe he was praying for no hangover (not bloody likely) or maybe just gargling with his beer."

Now that I see what's been coming in lately, I may have to look for a bottle of the Dogfish Head Pangaea. One thing that I discovered recently at the Deluxe when holyoutlaw and I stopped there after Slumdog Millionaire is Bayern Doppelbock, which Bottleworks carries in six packs. Got one on the way home last night. Very dark and malty smooth. Highly recommended.

Well, right now alcohol is contradindicated witht he pain meds, but we'll see.
