Happy birthday to Anne D. WINOLJ, who turns 50 today in sunny SoCal. The 50s are going to come in a wave now, aren't they? It's as if I know a bunch of people about my age. Mr Drummond, is it your turn already in October? Holy cow, surf's up! Hang ten, Anne! Show us how!

Yeah, Happy Birthday to the Anne-o-rama, I cannot imagine my life without her. But alas she won't be able to show us how, as she has gone into hiding -- palpably shuddered a couple of weeks ago when I suggested she throw a party!

And yes, Lord willing, I will be hitting the half-century mark myself this coming October. Still enjoying the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being seven squared, however. No rush to get to the next station of the tide, really! Surf's up, and the wave is fricking HUGE.
