I've taken down the "news from Sharee" post because, well, the situation is very unclear. I *knew* there was a reason why I wasn't posting on the topic!

However, in a more fannish vein, she says she'll be visiting Phil Palmer while she's in New Zealand. Some of you may have known Phil, although I don't think I ever met him. She is currently hanging with Kelly, who I believe is a friend of johnnyeponymous. They're on the way to KIWIBURN, in fact. Buncha hippies, etc etc.

If the Kelly in question is Kelly Buehler, she's a distant pal of mine, too. But then, while that Kelly was in that quadrant of the world last I knew, she wasn't in New Zealand, so it's probably some other Kelly all together. Phil Palmer is one of those names I've known forever, and might have met once (but I don't think so).

I'm pretty sure it *is* Kelly Buehler, who was an old pal of Sharee's from Bay Area days, but I could be wrong. Last I had heard, she was in Thailand, but I think she and her boyfriend have since relocated to NZ. This could all be horribly wrong. Caveat emptor.

Hey, sounds like it's the same Kelly after all. I hadn't caught up with the Thailand to NZ possibility.

I remember being surprised by the Thailand move -- for the longest time I wasn't sure it was the same person. Adventuresome spirit!

Kelly and I met when we were working on ConJosé. I liked her bunches and enjoyed visiting with her and Dawn Plakston a few months after the convention. I think I've only seen her a couple of times since. Please pass along a "hey, there" from me if it turns out you talk with Sharee and learn that it is, indeed, Kelly Buehler.

Will do, although I probably won't hear from her again until next week. Her phone doesn't work in NZ, and she says she'll be away from the internet at KIWIBURN.
