I watched this film fairly recently, and then was stuck on the soundtrack for a few weeks afterward. The lines you quoted are quite apropos, to y'know... a lot!

Yeah, I imagine "you've made it now" might sound pretty good when you've just made the kind of difficult shift you have. The movie really is perfect in its way. What else is there like it?

That's weird. I too loved the movie and was completely stuck on the soundtrack. Then for various reasons it became just too painful to listen to. And then yesterday while getting ready for my last night in St Martin, I thought what am I scared of here and just played it cos I loved it as music. And it was fine, So there you are, another strange synchronicity. (I'm just home.)
