Brouwers Cafe announcement on Facebook: "We were approached to do a 4 square swarm party tonight. If we reach 50 4 square logins by 6, we'll extend happy hour drink prices until 7."

Come again? The happy hour part I understood, but not much else.

Google is your friend. Foursquare is one of those "find your friends" mobile phone applications. The top hit is "Restaurant Owner Increases Sales by 110% with Foursquare Swarm Badge Party."

Of special interest, given your icon, is the swarm party that SweetWater bheer in Atlanta sponsored. I had a couple bottles of SweetWater when I was in Marietta for my niece's wedding. It's pretty darned good stuff, well-suited for the Georgia heat.

After a quick Google search, I think it might be something to do with this.

I love how the Wikipedia article tells us, "As it closes in on 1.3 million users in June 2010, Foursquare is being pursued by Internet giant Yahoo! Inc., which has offered as much as $125 million for the service." This seems more like a news story than an encyclopedia entry. Strange days.
