Almost made it home

I was supposed to fly back to Seattle today, but I only got as far as Vancouver. The Seattle flight was canceled due to some kind of accident at SeaTac. I haven't heard the details yet. I'm rebooked for a 8:25 flight tomorrow morning. Time to find the bar.

This is the second time in just over a year that I've had trouble getting out of Canada after a convention. I was stuck in Toronto overnight after the Montreal Worldcon last year.

You don't want to be here. I'm sure your trip up from the airport would have been a nightmare. Andy works in Renton and his usual 1.5-hour commute (via bus) home took him 4 hours.

UW suspended operations for the evening, and the boss's strong suspicion is that we'll suspend again tomorrow. THAT's how ugly it is here.
