Yep, spurred (ar ar ar) by The Warrior's Way. Almost watched The Quick and the Dead on Netflix streaming, but went for this instead.

Yes, it's based on the Lt Blueberry stories by Charlier and Moebius, although I'm not sure how much it follows plots that they wrote. It's very trippy. The final confrontation, for example, takes place in a peyote hallucination.
