The national championship game

The Duckies lose to Auburn 22-19. A disappointing end to an amazing season. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

Great game, and the defense was really impressive, not to mention the fake punt and the clutch 2-point conversion for the offense. Shame someone had to lose.

No sporting team this side of the water could survive calling itself "The Duckies". Although we do have "The Cottagers" now I think of it.

It's really the Ducks, not that that's any better. Their hated rivals are the Beavers. But the best one I've ever heard of is the University of California, Santa Cruz Banana Slugs. Well, okay, the Evergreen State College Geoducks is pretty good too. (Not that they have any sports teams that I'm aware of.)
