I recently read a review or detailed description of Almodovar's new film, The Skin I Live In, and I have to admit I was so creeped out by it I'm pretty sure I never want to see it.
Whereas I can't wait! Well, I can wait, and I *am* waiting, but I'm really looking forward to it. But yeah, it does sound pretty creepy, in a horror vein. But I'd probably even watch an Almodovar slasher film, if it came to that, which is saying something for me. In fact I'd love to see Almodovar's take on the giallo (a genre he's referenced before, e.g. in the opening of Matador), because I think he'd turn the misogyny on its head. We saw the trailer for The Skin I Live In on Wednesday, and it looks great. How can you skip Almodovar and Banderas working together again?
