Technical LJ question

Everybody is posting thoughtful year end meditations, but all I've got is a technical question: why does LJ now look different at home than at work? This has been going on for a couple of weeks. On my work computer it looks normal. On my home computer it looks terrible, with all the text left-aligned on the left edge of the window. What sin have I committed?

Gut reaction... what browser do you use at work.

Second reaction - Firefox has seriously lost the plot. Install Chrome and call me in the morning...

Good call. It looks fine in Chrome, and I'm running an earlier version of Firefox at work than I am at home.

But where's the bookmarks/favorites menu in Chrome? (I know, RTFM.)

For some reason it's not applying the RSS style file; most likely because it has a busted version cached. If you want to continue using Firefox, try holding down shift and clicking on the reload curly arrow to the right of the addess bar, that causes it to re-fetch all cached stuff.

That worked! Thanks, Anonymous. Although I'd been meaning to give Chrome a try for quite a while now, so it was good to finally be goosed into downloading it.
