For those who haven't seen this elsewhere, D's hip-replacement surgery yesterday went fine, and he's scheduled to come home from the hospital on Thursday.

Yes, despite the fact that it's routine surgery (and he had it on his other hip a few years ago), I was anxious. So now I'm relieved!

Randy, do you know if Denys got commitments for lunch assistance, particularly for this Friday? I replied to his email, but didn't hear back from him, probably because he was frantically trying to get tons of other things done before the surgery. Now I've come down with an exhausting virus, and I don't expect to be well enough to be the Lunch Lady by Friday.
