My moustache is lopsided
Oct. 23rd, 2005 08:49 amSomeone at the Worldcon suggested that I grow little handlebars on my moustache. I explained that I'd tried it before and ended up looking more like Pancho Villa than a musketeer. Still, I have so little hair to play with anymore, I thought I'd give it another try.
I think proper handlebars require assistance of some kind. You certainly can't get the Poirot look without arcane creams and mysterious unguents! I've just been trying to train mine to curl uppishly without applications. What I find is that the left side sort of curls up, but the right side mostly wants to curl down. Thus I end up looking lopsided.
I'm tempted to just go with it. One side up and one side down seems like a perfectly good metaphor for my character, and it's important that ones moustache reflect ones inner self, don't you think?
