Following up on an earlier story, My Wallingford reports that construction at the Stone Way pit is set to begin this month. The project is being called Stone Way Village and will have "154 housing units and some retail". That's a lot of units. I think in the previous story the retail was referred to as a convenience store. Anyway, it'll be nice to get rid of that mud pit.

That's what it says here. The Ballistic Chicken Coop is apparently some kind of small commune or co-op (oh, *now* I get it!) in the Wallingford neighborhood that is "interested in urban chickens and gardening, cooperative living, good food, dumpster diving, art and music, homebrewing, bicycles, and in general, overthrowing the system while having a good time at it." The comments on this post lead to a priceless exchange:

Q: Can someone explain urban chickens to me?

A: They have a lot more practice crossing the road than rural chickens.
